About the author
Laura Hendrix Ezell grew up in Alabama. She received masters' degrees in Library & Information Studies and Creative Writing from The University of Alabama, where she also served as Editor of Black Warrior Review.
Her work has appeared in McSweeney's, The Kenyon Review, Mid-American Review and The Chapbook, and is forthcoming in other journals. A Record of Our Debts is her first book.
Currently, she lives in Birmingham, Alabama and works as a school librarian.. She lives with her husband Jon, daughter Mae, and dogs Onion and Lulu.
